Glass and gourds

A morning spent at the Chihuly glass exhibition Kew Gardens culminated in the Lily House, with wonderful contrast between white glass and green gourds.

Poppies - promise, petals and pods

The rain has decimated the petals on  many of my garden poppies, but has encouraged the bursting buds and left behind beautiful pods.

I have an obsession with the sweet peas growing in my garden. So many photographs of them,

so many bunches gathered

 

they have made it in to my sketchbook
